It might be easy for socialised men to either ignore the patriarchal society we live in or feel sorry for themselves about their ‘maleness’ and what it has historically created. We have to reject any excuse that people, especially boys, create in order to not own their shit and confront this patriarchal dominance. We are a predominantly male band and hope not to just reflect this dominance but recognize that we do.
